"Seven Earth years ago, we met, I still remember it as it was yesterday, in the park at the centre of the city here.
We started to talk, and I felt good with you. You reassured me with your words, I felt no longer alone, and my heart opened for you.
We met more and more regularly, even every evening and other free moments we had, and I need to confess, I understood that if I wanted to survive on Earth, I only could do this by getting close to you.
Why do I say all this, is because you must understand, although I had fake paperwork and certificates on me, I am not born and raised here on Earth.
I was born in 10137 Contasta Ar in the City of AR on the Counter-Earth, or in our language called Gor, this is around 1986 in Earth terms, as eldest daughter of the Ubar Malenus and a kajira name Elisa, who was an enslaved Panther girl.
Although my mother was branded, my father had enough power and influence that I was considered as a free woman. This meant that I was not to follow the law that any baby from a kajira was by default a kajira."

"My father arranged it so with lies and bribes, that the scribes noted my birth down with as father, Melanus, and mother, Kalia, who died during childbirth and was cremated.
This means I could walk around in the city of Ar with no fear, as everyone looked at me as the daughter of the Ubar of the City.
As my father was Ubar of the City of Ar, and member of the caste of Warriors, he had some power and influence.
And like he had got my birth forged to make me a free woman, he also used his powers to allow me to be an exclusive member in the caste of the Warriors.
The other cities on Gor didn't like it, but as long as I stayed inside the walls of the City nothing could happen."

[My dear Talena,
I let the pen slide over this paper and bring over to thee an urgent call for thy help.
I remember my promise when thee left that I fully accepted thy decision, and would never bother thee.
But alas, thine hearth, and sword is needed in the City. And the Approval of the Initiates has been giving for thy return.
If thee accepts, thou shalt be given the nectar to allow to return, but use it wisely for thine companions as they will need to be able to be one of us.
The kajirus Thornuck is by this handed over to thine ownership for ever till death does part thee.
Humble regards,
Kazrak
Ubar Ar

Magdalena paused here, and watched me deeply in my eyes.
I coughed and smacked my lips. As I had a dry mouth already, I took a sip of my glass of wine.
//"Why did you never told me this before then ?"//
//"You will understand later, my love,// Magdalena replied.
//"So what you are telling me is that in the end you are not the person I think you are."//
//"I am the person who fell in love with and share your life. But I am also someone else next to that. But let me continue."//
Magdalena stood up from the table, and looked at me.
//"Give me a moment, I want to get something and show it to you."//
Once she had said this, she slipped away through the door, and ran upstairs as I heard.
Me and the other person sat there at the table in total silence, unknowing what she was doing.
A couple of minutes later, I could hear her coming down the stairs, and then noticed her appearing in the door.

Magdalena stood there in the door opening, dressed in what looked like a long red silk dress, tied around her hips with a heavy leather belt, wearing a silk veil in front of her face.
On the belt, a small purse was visible as also a dagger.
At her feet she was wearing something that looked like very classical sandals.
In her hand she was holding a scroll.
She noticed probably my half-open mouth from astonishment, and I could hear from behind the veil her grinning.

//"I know this looks out of the common, but this is how I was dressed before I came to Earth, and this is how I am supposed to be dressed within the walls of the city of Ar, my love."//
//"What do you mean with this ?"// I uttered while keeping my eyes on her.
//"It is too hard to explain, I think, but here take this, maybe this will help."//
She handed over the scroll she was holding in her hands.
I slowly rolled it open and got before me a painted parchment carrying a map with names on, and coloured regions.
//"Where is this from ?"//
//"This is where we are going, my love. This is where I belong to be at this moment."// she told me and blew me a kiss.

Just at that moment, in the garden behind our house, I could see a large light appear, and just before I lost consciousness, I heard in a distance Magdalena say something.
//"Kajirus, carry him on-board, but be careful with him."//
//"Yes,Mistress, at your service."//
After that my view went dark, and I dropped in the darkness of sleep, where my sight and hearing went senseless. The very last thing I felt was someone lifting me up, and then all sensations stopped.

[This is an online novel (even a first experiment), but with some possibilities in it.
On your left you will see a side bar, where some idons will be appearing.
These icons will allow you to flip back and forward between the pages you already read, also go to a full screen more, and restart the story from the first page.
Next to that at moments in the novel, other icons can appear that could give more information.
And at the bottom you have the ability to save and load the page, so you can always come back where you left off.]
